Submission Rules
To submit times to the Times Database, you MUST comply with these rules:
- Intentional bumping, hitting or contact with the A.I will constitute as cheating.
- Using the A.I as brakes or leaning on them when overtaking them on the inside of a corner will be considered cheating.
- The occasional brush on the straights or when overtaking on the OUTSIDE of an A.I competitor is acceptable.
- If the A.I hit you and it is seen as a disadvantage to you the driver (eg. They knock you onto the grass) then it will not be considered cheating, BUT if they hit you and you are seen to be gaining from the contact (eg. Contact resulting in straight lining a chicane) it will be considered as cheating.
- The time is only valid if you successfully complete the license / time trial according to the game's requirements.
BUT
- You must make sure that you have at least 2 wheels on or directly the above the track at ALL times.
- Absoloutely NO contact with the wall (Visible or not) is allowed. Even the slightest encounter with the wall will result in the lap time being disallowed.
- There must be at least two tires in contact with the track (or, if a tire is airborne; directly above the track) at all times. As long as any part of at least two tires is touching the track as defined here, then the lap is in compliance with this rule.
The Following belongs to the track:
- Tarmac
- Curbs
- Sidewalks
- Any kind of rumble strip made of concrete, stone etc (see Nurburgring Nordschleife)
- Tarmac or any other kind of road mentioned above that's situated beyond curbs
- If you (the user) do a hot lap in race mode and there is a car in front of you which is perceived to have provided you with a slipstream/draft then the time will be disallowed. If there is ANY doubt in the legality of the lap, with regard to hot lapping rules, then it will be disallowed. This rule only applies to times which are submitted after the 9th of April 2007
- No 'wheelies' (the process of your car drive only on it rear wheels, as if it is a bike doing a wheelie) are allowed to obtain top times. If it is seen in the replay that the front wheels have lifted without any external influences (curbs etc) then the time will be disallowed.
- Lap times achieved in 2-player or iLink Mode are not allowed.
- If you hit any cones during your fastest the time will not be allowed (same applies in licenses).
- Absoloutely NO contact with the wall (Visible or not) is allowed. Even the slightest encounter with the wall will result in the lap time being disallowed.
- When submitting a time you must make sure that the replay was saved as a ghost replay and not a full replay. If a hot lap is saved as a full replay the time WILL be deleted. This rule only applies to times which are submitted after the 13th of February 2007.
- A.I rules apply to this section.
- Only Simulation Mode times are allowed.
- You must finish on the same lap as the leader in the case of races with a fixed number of laps.
- Inadvertent wall contact or off-track excursions are allowed, they must not happen often enough to raise suspicion. This is a judgment call, although, if the same area of a wall is hit several times during a race, or same part of the course is straight-lined / cut, one would be lead to believe the contact or cut was intentional.
If the wall contact or straight-lining / cutting of the track has not tried to be avoided (i.e. slamming the wall at full throttle), the time is will be disallowed or discarded by the administrator.
NOTE: Your time will only be validated if you are able to supply a replay to prove legality. WITHOUT A SAVED REPLAY THE TIME WILL NOT BE ALLOWED
- If there are any queries of the validity of a time with regard to these rules then you can post your queries in the "Questioning Times" Forum.
- If a time is questioned for being false or illegal according to these rules, the Site Administrator reserves the right to request information from the member who posted the time in order to prove the time in question, up to and including the replay itself.
In the event of a time being questioned the following steps will be taken:
- The offender has 3 days to reply to the query (via PM or via the Forum Thread) or their times will be hidden from the time sheets. If the time is proven legal, in accordance with these rules, there will be no need to re-enter the time.
- Unless the user has before proven their legality, ALL of the times submitted buy the user will be hidden. If the user has proven the legality of previous times posted, only the time in question will be hidden.
- To avoid time deletion, the user must respond to the query (via PM or via the Forum Thread) within one week. Please respond IN THE TOPIC about your time, not to Site Administrator via email. Time queries are resolved in Open Forum, not via email.
- If the user has replied within the one week period and has promptly provided a replay, the Site Administrator will update the thread with 'Replay Received'.
- If then the time is legal the thread will be updated with ‘Replay Legal’. The time in question will no longer be concealed from the time sheets.
- If then the time is illegal the thread will be updated with ‘Replay Illegal’ and the time will be deleted from the database- The user will get a warning (3 warnings will result in Banishment).
- If, in the judgment of the Site Administrator, insufficient proof has been provided, the time will be discarded. In extreme cases of mistrust, times may be deleted until the required proof is provided.
- If you ignore our requests for proof or verification (after one week); you may potentially banned from the website.
Note:
We only accept Maxdrive or Xport(Sharkport) - files for verification.
No videos in whatever Format because they are way too big and way too complicated to handle.
